StrategyThree Crash Strategies, Reviewed Against the Actual Maths

Every crash game has a cottage industry of systems attached to it: martingale ladders, cashout grids, two-bet splits sold as steady income. This is a review of the three most common ones against how the games are actually priced.
One of them is worth using. Not for the reasons its sellers give.
The Constraint All Three Face
Crash titles such as Aviator, JetX and Spaceman publish RTPs in the 96.5% to 97% range. Every bet, at any stake and any target, returns that percentage on average. A strategy is a sequence of bets, and a sequence of bets each losing about 3% on average loses about 3% of total turnover. Stake sizes and timing rearrange which rounds the losses land in. They cannot change the sum.
There is a second structural fact that matters more than most players realise. In a typical crash distribution, the probability of reaching a given multiplier falls roughly in proportion as the target rises. Cashing at 1.5x wins often and pays little; cashing at 10x wins rarely and pays a lot. Multiply probability by payout and you land near the same RTP everywhere on the curve.
There is no soft spot. That is the whole difficulty.
Martingale: Double After Every Loss
The pitch: bet 1 unit at a 2x target, double after each loss, and the first win recovers everything plus a unit.
The reality: it works right up until it destroys you. After 10 straight losses at a 2x target — far from rare over a long session — the next required bet is 1,024 units and the ladder has already eaten 1,023. Both the bookmaker's max-bet limit and your own bankroll cap the sequence, and when the cap arrives mid-streak you absorb the whole accumulated loss with no recovery bet available.
Martingale converts many small wins into occasional catastrophic ones at exactly the same average cost as flat betting. It does not shrink the edge. It hides it, then hands you the bill in one go.
Fixed Cashout: Always Exit at the Same Number
The pitch: pick one target, set auto cashout, never deviate.
The reality: this is the one worth doing, and its promoters describe the benefit incorrectly. It does not improve returns, because every target prices out to the same RTP. What it genuinely does is remove in-round decision-making, and in-round decision-making is where tilt lives. You stop white-knuckling the button. You stop revenge-riding after near misses. Your results become a function of variance instead of mood.
Adopt it as a discipline habit. Just don't call it an edge.
Two Bets Per Round: Cover and Ride
The pitch: one panel with a low auto cashout as cover, one riding for a big multiplier.
The reality: the low bet is routinely described as insurance and it is nothing of the sort. When the round crashes early, both bets lose together. When it crashes between your targets, the small win partially offsets the larger loss — but you are running two negative-expectation bets whose results occasionally point in different directions.
The edge applies to both stakes, so total expected cost rises with turnover. The split smooths the ride, which some players legitimately value, and doubles your volume, which the house values more.
The Summary Worth Keeping
Crash games are entertainment with a published price of roughly 3 to 3.5 cents per unit wagered. Strategies redistribute outcomes between rounds; only stake size and total volume decide what the edge costs you in absolute money. Everything else on this page is decoration.

FAQ
Does martingale work on crash games?+
No. Doubling after losses keeps the same average loss per unit wagered while adding the risk of a wipeout when a losing streak meets your bankroll or the max-bet limit.
What is the best cashout multiplier for crash games?+
There isn't a profitable one. Probability times payout works out to roughly the same RTP at every point on the curve. A fixed target is still worth using, but as a discipline tool rather than an edge.
Can any strategy beat crash games long term?+
No. Outcomes come from RNG with a published edge of about 3% to 3.5%, and no sequence of bet sizes or timings turns a negative average positive.
