CasinoProvably Fair: How to Check a Crash Round Yourself in Two Minutes

Crash games decide every round before you bet. The multiplier where Aviator's plane leaves or JetX explodes is fixed the moment the round is seeded, not while you watch the curve.
Provably fair is the cryptographic proof of that. The operator committed to a result in advance and could not change it once bets were locked. The idea fits in a sentence; checking it takes about two minutes.
The Three Ingredients
- Server seed. A long random string from the game server. It is the main source of randomness, stays hidden during play, and its hash is published before the round starts.
- Client seed. A string from your side. Most games auto-generate one in your browser, and any serious implementation lets you overwrite it with your own text.
- Nonce. A counter incrementing with every bet, so the same seed pair never repeats a result.
Those three feed a published algorithm — usually an HMAC construction over SHA-256 or SHA-512 — whose output maps to a crash multiplier. Because you contribute the client seed and the server seed was committed in advance, neither side steers the result alone.
The pre-published hash is the entire trick. A SHA-256 hash is a one-way commitment: the operator can show you the hash without revealing the seed, and there is no practical way to find a different seed producing the same hash. Once that hash is on your screen, the upcoming outcomes are pinned. Everything else is just checking the pin held.
Doing It
- Before playing, open the fairness or settings panel and copy the hashed server seed.
- Check your client seed. To be strict, replace it with your own random text so the server could not have prepared for it.
- Play the round; note the crash multiplier and the nonce shown for your bet.
- Reveal the server seed — most games disclose it when you rotate to a new seed pair, so use the rotate button.
- Hash the revealed server seed with SHA-256 using any offline tool and compare it to the hash from step 1. A match means the seed was not swapped after your bets.
- Feed the server seed, client seed and nonce into the published formula or an independent verifier and recompute the multiplier. It must equal what you saw.
If either comparison fails: screenshot everything, contact support, and escalate to the licensing authority if the answer is vague. A mismatch is not a display bug. It is the one thing this system exists to catch.
You do not need to do this every round. Check once when you join a site, once after any seed rotation, and any time a result feels off.
What The Phrase Does Not Cover
This is where marketing quietly oversells, so be exact about the limits.
It does not remove the house edge — the edge lives inside the published algorithm. Aviator is documented at about 97% RTP: a perfectly verifiable game that still keeps roughly 3% of turnover.
It does not audit long-run RTP. Verifying one round proves that round was pre-committed, not that the advertised return holds across millions. That is what independent testing labs are for.
It does not cover payments. A game can be provably fair while the cashier drags its feet on withdrawals. Judge the operator separately, always.
And it does nothing if you never check. Fake fairness pages exist on clone sites, so confirm you are playing the real provider's game through a licensed operator.
On a site where the check fails, or where the fairness panel is missing entirely, you have your answer without risking another deposit. That is worth more than the verification itself.
Verifiable randomness does not make losing less likely — 18+, and set the budget first.

FAQ
Does a matching hash prove the game is fair overall?+
It proves the round's outcome was committed before you bet. It does not prove the advertised RTP or remove the house edge — those are answered by the published algorithm and independent lab audits.
Do I need programming skills to verify a round?+
No. Any SHA-256 tool can check the seed hash, and most providers plus several independent sites offer calculators where you paste the seeds and nonce to recompute the multiplier.
What if a site never reveals its server seed?+
Rotating your seed pair should force the old server seed to be revealed. No rotation and no reveal means the game is not meaningfully provably fair — treat that as a reason to leave.

Plenty of books claim to take M-Pesa. The question worth asking is whether the money comes back out the same way, how fast, and who licensed the operator to hold it in the meantime.
