A keen competitive community around CS2, League and Dota 2, plugged into the broader Balkan and European circuits. Cards, transfers and wallets handle deposits in euros, which Croatia adopted in 2023 - one fewer conversion to worry about when an operator prices everything in EUR.

The player-protection side changed substantially. Croatia's centralised self-exclusion register, Registar Igraca, became operational on 1 November 2025 and licensed operators were required to integrate with it from 1 January 2026, checking eligibility before allowing play, with exclusion periods running from three months to permanent. Winnings are taxed on a sliding scale that rises with the size of the payout, so a large Croatian win is not taxed at the same rate as a small one.
